For many brides, one of the most exciting and frustrating tasks when planning their big day is shopping for wedding dresses. Quite often their choices are limited by price and more often than not, they make their decisions according to budget constrains. In higher end bridal retailers, it is customary that the bride receive some type of discount when her bridesmaid dresses are purchased from the same store. Although for some brides, style, not price, is the motivating factor when shopping for a wedding dresses. There are so many choices available to today’s bridal parties, from very ornate, to simplistic and classic.
Although, according to trends of late, today’s bride seems to be split into two categories; the bride who wants her fairytale wedding, with all the bells and whistles, and the more economically conscious couple that decides to sink the bulk of their budget into location and opts for a smaller budget for accessories.
For the latter type of bride, there are many affordable options available when shopping for bridal dresses. It seems that quite often when flipping thru today’s fashion magazines, that any number of celebrity’s affairs run the gamut of style and expense. Most couples in the entertainment industry seem to be either hosting elaborate affairs that are usually attended by the elite of the entertainment world or remote location venues at which wearing either a minimalist type of dress or something much more classic is chosen to reflect the feeling of the day.
Since it is often the fashion for women who follow the trends of the stars to emulate their choices in makeup, fashion and lifestyle; it is not unusual to find them looking to do the same on their wedding day. Many of today’s couples go for a themed type of event at which they can inject some of their tastes and personality into their special day. For the bride, quite often, the wedding dresses chosen can help to dictate that theme of the event.
