When I was planning my daughter’s wedding, I found that there are so many different options available than when I got married. One of which was particularly astounding to me was online ordering of wedding dresses! I would never have thought anyone would consider doing this and certainly not my daughter. We had talked about her getting married her entire life and planned all of the details together. One of the things I most looked forward to was seeing her in her dress for the first time. I couldn’t imagine her picking out bridal dresses over the computer.

One day, my daughter’s maid of honor for her wedding called us and said that she was out shopping for bridesmaid dresses and suggested that we come over to the bridal shop and take a look. We loved the dress she had picked, but it was completely out of the price range for most of the bridesmaids, and with alterations it would have been wrong to ask them to consider it. So, of course as most brides do, my daughter fell in love with that dress and decided to look up the designer’s name on the Internet. Imagine her surprise when she found the same dress on an online wedding supply store’s website for a fraction of the price the local retailer was offering the exact same dress.

My daughter immediately contacted all of her bridesmaids and asked them to visit the site and place an order for their size and within a couple of weeks all of them had that designer dress that my daughter had fallen in love with. We found a local seamstress to provide a few alterations for each girl and they all fit beautifully.

Wouldn’t you know, a few weeks later, after months of shopping for bridal dresses with my daughter, she found the one, and she decided to look it up on the computer.

Before I knew it, she had ordered her wedding dress from the same website the bridesmaid dresses had come from. And they even sent her free shoes to match!
